01 / The Plan

Why did God create us?

Gold stands for God's purpose for us. He created us without sin and in His likeness, to rule righteously over the earth on His behalf. We can choose a personal relationship with God and come to know Him as our Father.

“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion … over all the earth …’”

Genesis 1:26

“… in love, having predestined us to be His sons by Jesus Christ to Himself …”

Ephesians 1:4–5
02 / The Problem

Why do we need salvation?

Man was deceived by Satan's lie. This is how evil entered mankind. There is none who does good. We live in sin and are separated from God. Because of our guilt, we face God's righteous judgment: the eternal lake of fire.

“… that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world …”

Revelation 12:9

“… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God …”

Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death …”

Romans 6:23

“Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”

Revelation 20:14
03 / The Solution

How does God save us?

God loves us so much that He gave His Son Jesus Christ to save us. Jesus was without sin, yet He bore our sins and died for us on the cross. This is the greatest proof of God's love.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son …”

John 3:16
04 / The Way

Receive Jesus Christ!

Jesus Christ alone can save you from sin and judgment. Believe in Him, confess Him as your Lord, and be baptized! Then you will be saved from the lake of fire and receive eternal life.

“… that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16

“He who believes and is baptized will be saved …”

Mark 16:16a

“… if you confess … the Lord Jesus and believe … that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9
05 / Growth

How can you experience salvation more fully?

Jesus wants to continue saving us from malice, sin, worldly things, and everything that separates us from God. Cooperate with Him daily: feed on God's Word, be built up with others into God's house, and offer God spiritual sacrifices.

“Therefore, laying aside all malice … as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby …”

1 Peter 2:1–2

“… you also … are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices … through Jesus Christ.”

1 Peter 2:5
06 / The Reward

What does Jesus have in store for you?

If you follow Jesus and grow into full salvation, you will receive the highest reward: you will serve God as a king and priest in His coming kingdom. Jesus is coming back soon!

“And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”

Revelation 5:10

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.”

Revelation 22:12

Faith that changes lives

People from Bibeltreff share
how they experience Jesus Christ.

When I first came to Bibeltreff, God and Jesus Christ were only things I knew about. But the Lord Jesus is much more than that. In John 14:6, a verse you probably all know, the Lord says of Himself: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

I had not yet experienced this life. I knew about God and Jesus Christ, but I stayed the same, and my life did not change. I had no strength to overcome weaknesses or sin.

In my despair, I went to Bibeltreff because I did not know what else to do. At first, it felt unfamiliar because of my Muslim background. I had never had fellowship with Christians who truly lived out their faith.

But I came back week after week, and it was not just to gain knowledge. Looking back now, I know that I had tasted life.

That is also the focus at Bibeltreff: experiencing the Word of God. It is not about doctrine, knowledge, or theology, but about life. It is about a living relationship with a living God.

Through fellowship and being built up together with the brothers and sisters at Bibeltreff, I began to experience the Word. By putting the Word we shared into practice, I came to know God for the first time as the One who gives me life and strength.

I was finally baptized once and for all into the Body of Christ (see 1 Cor. 12:13), and that is where the real journey of the Christian life begins. Through this process, my life changed. By the Lord's strength, I overcame weaknesses that had seemed impossible to overcome before.

I can only praise the Lord and thank Him that He is a living God whom we can experience, and that I have come to know such wonderful brothers and sisters in the faith.

ThomasMy testimony “I have tasted how surpassingly excellent Christ is”Freed from a worldly, sinful Christian life – to live with Christ every day.Read testimonyClose testimony

I received the Lord Jesus into my life when I was six years old. He put joy in my heart. My parents told me a lot about the Bible, and I enjoyed going to church.

As a teenager, I developed more and more other interests. Much of it was not wrong in itself or at first: handball, football, friends, having fun … But at some point, these interests began to compete with God without me noticing.

Along with these many interests, more and more sinful things entered my life. This hardened my heart towards God. I attended church less often, had less fellowship, and read the Bible less.

I kept going on Christian retreats, which stirred my heart for God anew each time. I resolved to change my life. But I did not know how to stay connected with God in a lasting way. So I soon ended up back in my old, worldly, and ultimately sinful life.

During church services, I was convicted each time and promised God that I would change my life. But it never lasted long. Soon I was doing all the same worldly things as my schoolmates again. This seemingly endless cycle of good intentions and quickly falling back into old ways left me dissatisfied, and so I drifted further away from God.

I thank God that He did not give up on me, even though I deserved it. He brought me among people who truly wanted to follow Jesus. They gave me a taste of a life with and for God. I realised that this life is so much better than anything else. Someone showed me this verse:

“… I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord … that I may gain Christ.”

Philippians 3:8

After I moved to Stuttgart to study, I met the brothers and sisters from Bibeltreff on the very first day of the preparatory maths course! Through fellowship with them, God gradually showed me how I could actually live with Him every day.

I learned that the Bible has been given to us as our daily food! God's Word tastes wonderful and strengthens me to overcome! Regularly sharing with the others and praying together also gave me increasing strength to leave my old, worldly life behind. It is so much better to live through and with Christ.

Through further fellowship, the Lord continued to show me that if I want to live with Him consistently and experience Him, I need to learn to serve Him as a priest. In this way, I came to experience how to gain Christ as the spiritual sacrifices in order to live a life pleasing to God. I am endlessly grateful to God for His grace and for the revelation He gives when we seek Him!
